Wylde Thyme Catering is a family owned, full service catering
company. It is our mission to provide excellent cuisine to match the tastes and budgets that are as diverse as our customers and to give glory to our Creator, whom freely gives us the imagination and skill to do so.
Wylde Thyme Catering is fully licensed and health certified by the State of Minnesota. We are members of The Grand Rapids area Chamber of Commerce. Our customers have included the Blandin Foundation, Grand Itasca Hospital, ASV, Rotary Club, Lakewood Surgery, Bonner Eye Clinic, Temperate Forest Foundation just to name a few. We have catered weddings, grooms dinners, board meetings, family reunions, birthday parties, Christmas parties, church functions, festivals, grand openings and multi-course private dinner parties. We have catered lakeside weddings as far away as Eveleth and Walker,MN and our territory continues to expand!
Wylde Thyme Catering was purchased by Jamie and Renee Perrington in 2004 from Teresa Donnell. Teresa was pleased to know that Perrington was bringing his original style and reputation to her well established business. Jamie's cooking experiences took him from fine dining restaurants in his home town of Grand Rapids, to Minneapolis, to the island of Kauai.
Upon returning to Northern Minnesota, Jamie and Renee opened an all-organic delicatessan.
Desiring to spend more time raising their family, the Perringtons decided a catering business would provide them more of an oppurtunity to do just that.
For the past three years Jamie has also ran the Community Cafe, a not just soup, soup kitchen, serving several hundred free meals a week to those in need in Itasca County.
